| Mothers Day Event At The Zoo |

The Topeka Zoo will be hosting a Mother’s Day event at the Zoo on May 11th. Bring your mother to the Zoo and receive a free flower courtesy of Stanley’s Floral Company. All mothers will be admitted free to the zoo with one paid admission. The first 100 mother’s entering the Zoo after 9a.m.,will receive a flower courtesy of Stanley’s Floral Company of Topeka, Meet some of Topeka Zoos mothers: African lion Asante and her cub Adia, Rudy the Bornean orangutan and her daughter Rayma. Zoo keepers will be providing special programs about these wild mothers and their offspring. Look for a special Mothers Day treat at Zoo Concessions. Karido-Kids Dance & Tumbling Group will perform from 2p.m. to 3p.m. The Zoo gates and buildings are open from 9 a.m. to 5p.m, with the grounds closing at 4:30p.m. For further information contact Mike Coker at the Topeka Zoo at 368-9180 or 806-0224. -30- . |
